Bloc Quebecois leader Gilles Duceppe will try to outdo himself in the second French-language leaders' debate tonight. During the first French-language debate a week ago, Duceppe targeted NDP leader Tom Mulcair over the wearing of the niqab at citizenship ceremonies. Mulcair maintains women should be allowed to have their face covered when they are sworn in as Canadians, which is at odds with the majority of Quebecers. Mireille Paquet is an assistant professor at Concordia Universitys political science department. She says Duceppe will also highlight his party's unique position in the political landscape. (Paquet says she would be surprised if Duceppe attacks Justin Trudeau, whose Liberals got only a handful of seats in the last election.)
