Prime Minister Harper has unveiled a plan to spend more than one-billion dollars over 10 years to help the auto industry deal with the impact of the Trans-Pacific Partnership. He says a re-elected Conservative government would also offer non-repayable grants to companies that make firm commitments to build new auto assembly plants. Harper is defending the expenditure. (Harper was in Whitby, Ontario this morning.)
