Paul Gross says he hopes his new film "Hyena Road" will help Canadians better understand the complications and costs of long-term military engagements such as the one in Afghanistan. Gross wrote, directed and stars in the film as a veteran military intelligence offer overseeing a team of troops in Afghanistan. Gross says he made the film after a trip to Afghanistan gave him a clearer picture of the cost of war. (Co-stars in the film, which opens today, include Rossif Sutherland and Allan Hawco.)
