Allan Schoenborn's lawyer is taking aim at Conservative leader Stephen Harper. In an ad aired on Thursday, Harper says the man who killed his children was found not criminally responsible due to mental illness but also calls Schoenborn a criminal. Lawyer Rishi Gill has criticized Harper for using his mentally ill client as an example during an election campaign and raised the issue inside and outside B-C Supreme Court. (Schoenborn has been held for treatment in a psychiatric hospital since his trial, but B-C Crown prosecutors are now attempting to have him designated as "high-risk.")

Transcript Prediction: << he's not a criminal although he committed a horrendous that he is a mentally disordered offender and he should be treated as such so when I hear the leader of the country that we're going to keep criminals like this off the street it's a game I'm not sure where he's getting his advice from but it's wrong >>
