An Edmonton man who crashed his SUV into a restaurant patio two years ago, killing a child, says his wife had told him she wanted a divorce when he mistakenly hit the gas instead of the brake. Richard Suter (SOO'-tihr) testified at his sentencing hearing this morning, after earlier pleading guilty to refusing to provide a breath sample when there is a death. He said he had three drinks in the four hours before the crash. Chris Purdy with The Canadian Press was in court this morning. (Two-year-old Geo Mounsef (MON'-sehf) was having dinner with his parents and baby brother in May 2013, when the SUV crashed through a glass partition and he was trapped underneath.)
