Preview Clip

The Ontario legislature held a moment of silence today to commemorate the shooting on Parliament Hill a year ago. The three party leaders also paid tribute to Corporal Nathan Cirillo, who was shot as he stood ceremonial guard at the National War Memorial, and Warrant Officer Patrice Vincent, who was murdered in a hit-and-run by an Islamic-extremist in Quebec 48 hours earlier. Progressive Conservative Leader Patrick Brown was a Conservative MP at the time and was in the government caucus room during the shooting. (Soldiers, veterans and hundreds of ordinary citizens are joining dignitaries at the National War Memorial today in Ottawa to mark the first anniversary of the deadly attacks.)
