Alberta is back to having a board of directors running the day-to-day operations of the health system. The last board of Alberta Health Services was fired two years ago by the previous Tory government. Health Minister Sarah Hoffman agrees the board was often used as a scapegoat in the past. She says those days are over. (The new six-member board is chaired by Linda Hughes, the former publisher of the Edmonton Journal.)
