Hurricane Patricia is bearing down on Mexico's Pacific coast, bringing sustained winds of more than 300 kilometres per hour -- and some Canadians are going to have to ride it out. Edmonton's David Lloyd and his wife are staying put in their highrise, in the resort town of Puerto Vallarta (PWEHR'-toh vah-YAHR'-tah). (Officials are comparing the storm to Typhoon Haiyan, which left more than seven-thousand people dead or missing in the Philippines two years ago.)
