Crews fighting wildfires in B-C may soon have a new tool in their arsenal. Provincial fire information officer Kevin Skrepnek says the B-C Wildfire Service did trials last summer to help determine whether drones could be used to help fire suppression efforts. (The companies contracted for the trials have special permits from Transport Canada allowing them to fly in the restricted airspace above wildfires.)
