Manitoba Liberal Leader Rana Bokhari says if she becomes premier, her government would cover the full cost of at least one round of in-vitro fertilization for women trying to get pregnant. The Manitoba government offers a 40-per-cent tax credit for all in-vitro treatments, but Bokhari says that's not enough. She says a Liberal government would cover the full cost of a first treatment and, if that were not successful, funding for a second round will be assessed. Bokhari says some details still have to be worked out, such as a maximum age for women. (The Liberals have one seat in the legislature, but have risen sharply in opinion polls since the last election.)
