Canadian Air Force veteran -- former Flight lieutJohn Melbourne -- spent decades in the Canadian Forces beginning in the 1950s. He says he attends as many Remembrance Day ceremonies as he can every year. Melbourne, who lives in Calgary, turns 80 later this month and says it's an emotional time of year for him. (Melbourne says he's worried that the number of surviving Second World War veterans is diminishing each week and that their stories will be lost to future generations.)
