Cardiac patients in Regina say the cost for a medically supervised rehabilitation program is getting so high that many can't afford treatment. The patients went to the Saskatchewan legislature today to ask why a rehab program in Regina costs 440 dollars for three months when a similar program in Saskatoon is 90 dollars. Heart attack survivor Lyn Goldman says the exercise program is essential for cardiac patients. (Saskatchewan Health Minister Dustin Duncan says the Regina Qu'Appelle Health Region found there wasn't enough uptake to keep subsidizing the exercise program and says the region offers other educational programs for cardiac patients.)
