The Canadian Association of Oilwell Drilling Contractors isn't predicting any rebound for next year as activity levels continue to drop. The group is forecasting total jobs in the industry to drop 17 per cent compared with this year and will be down 57 per cent compared with 2014. Association president Mark Scholz says the industry is facing some of its toughest challenges ever and Alberta government policy isn't helping. (The drilling industry has been hit hard as oil and gas producers have pulled back on exploration and development plans in the wake of lower oil prices.)
