Preview Clip

A Manitoba NDP cabinet minister who called a Conservative legislature member a "fascist" says the ensuing outrage has been whipped up by the Opposition. Municipal Affairs Minister Drew Caldwell says the comment was "manufactured" into a personal attack by Conservatives who wrote about it on social media. But the Opposition's Reg Helwer, who raised the issue with the Speaker after he was heckled, says that's not true. (Helwer, who is of German decent, says he heard the slur on the playground growing up and he shouldn't have to hear it in the legislature.)
