The Liberal government is making good on its promise to cut taxes for middle income earners. finance Minister Bill Morneau has outlined a motion to slash the income-tax rate on Canadians earning between 44-thousand-700 and 89-thousand-401 dollars per year. Meantime, Morneau says the government is asking high-income Canadians to contribute a little bit more. (Morneau has also announced the government is repealing a measure that doubled the annual contribution to tax free savings accounts.)
