Preview Clip

Saskatchewan's auditor says it's not clear whether a program that aims to streamline organizations and cut costs is working. Judy Ferguson looked at use of the Lean initiative across government ministries and agencies, with the exception of the Ministry of Health. Her office surveyed workers trained as Lean leaders and Ferguson says they didn't all agree with the process, adding the government should take note. (The auditor figures Lean has cost about 2-point-3 million dollars, plus five-thousand days of employee time, outside of the Ministry of Health's spending on the program.)
