Imperial Oil agrees with a review panel that says better communication is needed in cases like the gasoline shortage that hit Nova Scotia last August. Supply manager Tim Adams says the company is increasing safety stocks and also looking at its supply chain in order to identify potential quality problems earlier. (The report says the shortage was caused when a tanker was late with a delivery to Imperial Oil's terminal in Dartmouth and when additives weren't immediately available for that shipment and for the fuel delivered by a second vessel.)
