The Governor General and his family were on hand to welcome the latest planeload of Syrian refugees arriving in Canada. David Johnston had a broad smile and a few key Arabic phrases for the tired -- but visibly grateful -- group landing in Toronto on the latest government-organized flight. Johnston says the warm Canadian welcome is very encouraging. (The chartered plane from Beirut, carrying about 214 refugees, was the fourth flight organized by the government as part of its plan to bring 25-thousand Syrian refugees to Canada by the end of February.)
