Western Canadian ski resorts are breathing a sigh of relief year as heavy snow falls continue on the slopes after a couple tough years. The conditions are in stark contrast to Eastern Canada, where most slopes are bare after unseasonably warm temperatures. Cynthia Thomas with the Canada West Ski Area Association says the early snow fall in the west has been great news for resorts. (Thomas says resorts could also see a boost from more American tourists taking advantage of the low Canadian dollar.)
