While they agree fracking can and does cause tremors, University of Calgary geophycist David Eaton says the exact mechanism is still mysterious. (Eaton's comments came as an energy company near Fox Creek, Alberta, was forced to stop activities after a sizeable earthquake occurred during its fracking operations.)
