Members of a joint Commons-Senate committee studying the issue of doctor-assisted death say they have their work cut out for them. Senator James Cowan says time is of the essence, and the committee already has lots of information to work with. (The committee is meeting in Ottawa, exploring recommendations for legislation in response to the Supreme Court of Canada's landmark ruling on doctor-assisted death. It has a goal of reporting back with suggestions by February 26th.)
