A Manitoba woman who spent 10 hours in a frigid ditch trying to keep her young daughter warm following a car crash before crawling up a snowbank for help may never walk again. Kristen Hiebert (HEE'-burt) and her four-year-old daughter Avery were going home Sunday night when their car slid off a rural highway. At dawn, Hiebert dragged herself up the snowbank despite two broken arms, a broken leg, broken neck and severe frostbite. Her close friend Morgan Campbell says she has a long recovery ahead of her. (Campbell set up a GoFundMe page to help Hiebert -- a single mom who works two jobs. She says Hiebert is in tearful disbelief at the outpouring of support so far.)
