Alberta oil and gas companies are anxiously awaiting the results of the province's royalty review. Premier Rachel Notley is set to announce a new royalty framework in Calgary tomorrow. The policy will be based on recommendations from a four-member panel led by Dave Mowat, head of Crown-owned bank ATB financial. Mark Scholz (SHULTZ') heads up the Canadian Association of Oilwell Drilling Contractors. He says the royalty review is coming at a tough time for the industry. (The drilling group wants royalties to be lowered to offset increased costs from Alberta's new climate change policy.)
