An animal-rights group in British Columbia wants to know why there has been a 19-month delay in prosecuting a farm animal cruelty case. Vancouver Humane Society spokesman Peter Fricker says the government hasn't explained why no charges have been laid against a Fraser Valley dairy farm and eight of its employees after a disturbing video revealed dairy cows being viciously abused at Chilliwack Cattle Sales. (The Vancouver Humane Society says this is one of the worst cases of farm animal cruelty in Canadian history.)
