Export Development Canada is setting aside 750-million dollars to help support the struggling oil and gas sector. That could take the form of loans or guarantees to small and medium-sized firms. Mark Senn is the agency's regional vice-president for Western Canada. He says the EDC decided to get involved because there's so much at stake. (Senn says EDC will be choosing recipients with a solid plan to survive the downturn and are interested in international opportunities.)
