Outspoken political columnist and commentator Ezra Levant will appear before the Law Society of Alberta today asking to resign without any blemishes on his record. Levant asked to resign from the Law Society a couple of years ago since he has hasn't practiced law in 13 years. He was scheduled to face a week-long disciplinary hearing but requested it be turned into a resignation hearing instead. (Levant says you are not allowed to resign from the Law Society if there are any outstanding complaints against you. He wants it done before any new complaints arise.)
