Canada's premiers have agreed to study carbon pricing options that would be adapted to the specific circumstances of each province and territory. The working group is one of four announced by Prime Minister Justin Trudeau in Vancouver after a day-long climate-change meeting with first ministers. Trudeau says he's encouraged by the willingness of the premiers to work together. (Heading into the meeting, there was dissent from several premiers about the federal government's plan for a national carbon pricing scheme.)
