A Toronto woman has been found guilty of first-degree murder in the death of her severely disabled daughter. Cindy Ali had pleaded not guilty in the death of her 16-year-old child Cynara, who had cerebral palsy and couldn't walk, talk or feed herself. The mother claimed the girl was killed by home invaders. Her lawyer -- Christopher Hicks -- says the verdict is hard for the woman to take. (Crown prosecutors had argued Ali smothered her daughter with a pillow. She died later in hospital. Hicks expects there will be an appeal.-)
