A decision has been reserved in the Federal Court of Appeal in Halifax in the case of a former navy officer who alleges he was harassed because he is openly gay. Retired Sub-Lieutet Paul Ritchie wants a judicial review of a decision from the Canadian Human Rights Commission dismissing his claim of discrimination. Ritchie argued the commission's investigation was flawed and reiterated that concern outside court. (Federal lawyer Michelle Chan argued the commission's investigation into Ritchie's allegations was reasonable and fair.)
