Ontario's Liberal government is backtracking on changes announced in its recent budget that would have increased drug costs for most seniors. The government proposed in the budget to eliminate deductibles for single seniors making less than $19,300, but to increase them for seniors above that threshold. The government announced today costs won't be increasing after all for seniors above the threshold. Progressive Conservative Leader Patrick Brown says the Liberals should have seen the outcry from seniors' groups coming. (Health Minister Eric Hoskins says that $19,300 threshold will rise with inflation.)
