Uber Canada's legal director says he's been spending most of his time navigating regulatory issues since he took the job at the ride-sharing company last summer. Jeremy Millard spoke at the Corporate Counsel Association of Canada's national conference in Calgary. He drew a contrast between how Alberta's two biggest cities have approached the issue. (Even though Uber is happy with Edmonton's bylaw, it isn't operating in the city right now. It put operations on hold after the Alberta government announced it wouldn't be able to make insurance available to drivers until the summer.)
