Two young transgender girls are speaking out in favour of a private member's bill to include gender identity and expression in British Columbia's Human Rights Code. Grade 7 student Harriette Cunningham says the province will be a more inclusive and accepting place if the rights of transgender people are written into the Human Rights Code. (Cunningham and thirteen-year-old Tru Wilson were in Victoria today to watch New Democrat MLA Spencer Chandra Herbert introduce the bill.)
