Brian Pallister has been sworn in as Manitoba premier. The Progressive Conservative leader took the oath in front of the 12 ministers who will make up his cabinet eight men and four women. Pallister says his cabinet has a task at hand. (The cabinet appointments include Cameron Friesen in finance, Kelvin Goertzen (GURT'-zehn) in health and Heather Stefanson in justice. It is a smaller cabinet than the former NDP governmment's, and there are no stand-alone ministers for labour, healthy living and other areas.)
