Wildfires that levelled neighbourhoods in Fort McMurray have slowed their rampage through the tinder-dry forest in northern Alberta. (As of yesterday, the blaze had grown to about 16-hundred square kilometres, but authorities hope cooler temperatures this week will give firefighters the upper hand.)
