A former Liberal communications director has been charged with breach of trust for his alleged role in a Liberal strategy to win ethnic votes in the last election. Opposition NDP Leader John Horgan has suggested a special prosecutor's investigation went on for three years because the government didn't co-operate. But deputy premier Rich Coleman says the process is independent and such cases take time. (Special prosecutor David Butcher approved the charge against Brian Bonney in connection with the duties of his office.)
