The dressing-down of a Canadian journalist by China's visiting foreign minister this past week has caught the attention of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. On Wednesday, Wang Yi berated a reporter with the web outlet IPolitics when he was asked at a news conference about his country's human rights record. Wang scolded the reporter for being -- quote -- "irresponsible." Speaking at a news conference in Winnipeg this morning, Trudeau said Ottawa has voiced its displeasure with Wang's comments. (Trudeau says freedom of the press is something very important to him and the job of the media is to ask tough questions.)
