The B-C government is forming a joint task force on overdose response due to what Premier Christy Clark calls a frightening increase in deaths in the province. Clark says provincial health officer Dr. Perry Kendall and Clayton Pecknold, the director of police services in the province, will lead the task force. (Clark says her government will also improve access to addiction treatment for those who want to get help.)
