A Quebec filmmaker believes human remains found in Quebec's Gaspe region last week belong to victims of an 1847 shipwreck. Viveka Melki says she found an old obituary describing how the Carricks of Whitehaven sank near Cap-des-Rosiers beach almost 170 years ago. (Parks Canada is analyzing the remains of eight skeletons to see if they came from the ship, which was carrying almost 200 Irish immigrants fleeing the potato famine.)
