B-C Premier Christy Clark is refusing to raise the 30-dollar-per-tonne carbon tax in the province's new climate leadership plan, saying she will re-evaluate the tax once other jurisdictions introduce similar levies. But Tim Pearson of Sierra Club B-C says there's no reason to wait for other provinces to introduce a tax. (Clark says B-C's plan includes a focus on liquefied natural gas, methane reduction and reforestation and it will create 66-thousand new jobs.)
