The Petroleum Services Association of Canada has made a renewed pitch to Ottawa to hasten the clean up of dormant oilwells, and boost employment in the process. The group asked for 500-million dollars in infrastructure money earlier this year, but there was no mention of it in the most recent federal budget. Federal Natural Resources Minsiter Jim Carr says the government is open to the idea. (Carr made his remarks after speaking at a Calgary Chamber of Commerce luncheon.)
