The film "Arrival" is making its Canadian premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival. Filmed in Montreal, the sci-fi drama stars Amy Adams as a linguistics expert who is called on when 12 alien spacecraft mysteriously land around the world. Adams says she's long been a fan of science fiction. (The film, which earlier garnered rave reviews in Venice, also starts Jeremy Renner and was directed by Quebec's Denis Villeneuve.)
