There's still no word on what caused a Calgary transit train to crash through barricades at the end of a line this morning. The female driver of the train was cut out of the wreckage and taken to hospital with serious injuries. Calgary Transit's acting director Russell Davies says it shouldn't be hard to determine what happened. (Davies says the train, worth at least 3.5 million dollars, is a total writeoff.)
