Natural Resources Minister Jim Carr says the Liberal government won't be launching an appeal of a court ruling that quashed the approval of Enbridge's proposed Northern Gateway oil pipeline from Alberta to northern British Columbia. Carr laid the blame for the court's finding on the former Conservative government, which was found to have not properly consulted First Nations affected by the pipeline plan. (Carr said the government is now reviewing its options for the pipeline, including the possibility of launching further consultations with indigenous groups.)
