Police have charged a self-proclaimed Freeman on the Land with what they are calling a paper terrorism campaign against a peace officer in Alberta. Allan Boisjoli (BOH-je-lee) of Vegreville is alleged to have filed various documents in Edmonton court against a community peace officer in Beaver County after the officer issued him a speeding ticket last year. Edmonton police Detective Rae Gerrard says the documents were not legitimate, and it's a scheme used by many self-proclaimed Freemen. (Boisjoli has been charged with intimidation of a justice official. Gerrard says it's the first time police in Canada have laid the charge strictly dealing with paper terrorism.)
