The Conservative who won yesterday's federal byelection in Alberta says a visit by Prime Minister Justin Trudeau during the campaign energized his own supporters. Glen Motz says the people in his riding of Medicine Hat-Cardston-Warner have been hit hard by troubles in the energy industry, and they feel ignored by Trudeau and his Liberal government. (Motz won close to 70 per cent of the votes, far ahead of the Liberals who were in second place with about 25 per cent.)
