Nova Scotia's offshore regulator says there were no successful exploration bids received for six offshore parcels in 2016 the third time in four years there were no bids. The Canada Nova Scotia Offshore Petroleum Board says the parcels are located in shallow water on the Scotian Shelf adjacent to the Sable offshore natural gas project. Energy Minister Michel Samson says he's not overly concerned by the current lack of interest. (There were also no bids in 2013 and in 2014.)
