The Tseshaht Nation is preparing to evacuate homes this evening after heavy rains caused rivers and creeks to flood. This is the third year in a row the community has been threatened by flooding. Emergency preparedness co-ordinator Hugh Braker says historic levels of flooding in 2014 were the worst the community had seen in at least 60 years -- and the threat has not let up. (The First Nation declared a state of emergency Friday and has been sandbagging around properties and roadways as more rain and rising water levels are expected to peak tomorrow.)
