A Canadian Judicial Council committee says a judge who asked a sexual assault complait why she couldn't just keep her knees together should lose his job. Justice Robin Camp's conduct in a 2014 rape trial was at the centre of a disciplinary hearing in September. Camp was a provincial judge at the time he made the remarks but he has since been promoted to the federal bench. Kim Stanton, is the legal director of the Women's Legal Education and Action Fund, says the panel's conclusion is good news. (A five-member committee unanimously concluded Camp's conduct undermined public confidence in his ability to do his job.)
