Professor William Cheung of the University of British Columbia is the lead author of a new study that estimates there would be 40 per cent more fisheries catches in the Indo-Pacific region at a 1.5 degrees Celsius increase compared with the 3.5 degrees Celsius bump. (Cheung says it's important all of the countries currently signed on to the Paris agreement commit to or exceed the targets to cut greenhouse gas emissions.)
