An Indigenous delegation to meet with Pope Francis at the Vatican has been rescheduled for the week of March 28th. A final audience with Pope Francis is set for April 1st. Bishop William McGrattan, vice-president of the Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops, says it was important that the Pope hears directly from survivors of residential schools and their descendants. (The trip was put on hold in December because of uncertainty posed by the quickly spreading Omicron (OH'-mih-kron) variant of COVID-19.)
